Dearest Ashy and your amazing team, Before I started the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge I had tried just about anything you can think of. Little did I know I was doing much more harm to my body than good. When I left school I starting working at Virgin Blue where I stayed for 4 years. I would start at 4:30 in the morning and work till 2pm without eating anything. By the time I got home I could eat everything in my sight. After realising what I had done to my body I wanted a "quick fix" to change the harm I had implemented on my body. I started taking Duromine (Diet Pills) at the same time I was on Light and Easy. Duromine was the worst thing I could ever have done I became moody, unhealthy, shaky I couldn't sleep and just felt like crap all the time. I lost just under 10 kgs in less than 1 month. I thought great, now I can eat what ever i want again. Wasn't I wrong, not long after I found myself right back where I was plus MORE. This is what i needed to stop and reflect on the damage i had done. I can't tell you how much the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge has changed my life. Physically and mentally i feel like a new person. I have energy, im happier, healthier, confident and most of all proud. All of this is because of you and your amazing team. For pushing me when i didn't want to run up that hill, for telling me to toughen up princess when i was about to give up and for being their to support each and every one of us 110%. I know i still have a way to come, but untill then you can know that i LOVE my healthier lifestyle and i enjoy (most of the time ;P) waking up every morning to come to training with such beautiful and inspiring people. The Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge has completely changed my life, not just physically but mentally as well. I am happier, healthier and fitter than I have ever been! I have attempted "health kicks" time after time in the past, failing every time, but I made it through the 12 week challenge without missing a single session and loved it that much I signed straight up for the next one! Ashy, Steve & Millie are fantastic trainers; they really know what they are talking about and are passionate about getting results. It's obvious that it's not about the money for them, they do what they do because they want to help people and it shows in every aspect of their work! The constant support I have received throughout the challenge is amazing, it really kept me motivated and on track and made me feel like they really care. Initially I was concerned that being such a large group, I wouldn't get that close attention that you really want when you are training and trying to improve but that certainly wasn't the case. The 3 trainers make sure that everyone gets the attention and motivation they need and are always there to help anyone that needs it! The way the sessions are set up ensures that all concerns are tailored for when it comes to exercise. One of the biggest positives is that it's all females in the group, the sessions are varied and aimed at females and what our major concerns are the way males and females lose weight/tone up is completely different, the trainers know this and focus on what WE need and the results really do show that they know there stuff! The other thing I really loved is how the trainers took the time to explain the nutritional side of things and how certain foods affect your progress when you understand the science behind things it makes it a lot easier to make smart and educated decisions. I now feel confident in my food choices. The best thing I ever did for myself was join the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge, I now have confidence that I have never had and it has had a positive effect in every aspect of my life! It's no longer a "challenge" but a way of life for me now. Thank you SO much for showing me this amazing, healthy and active lifestyle and for helping me achieve and do things I never thought possible.
Well I guess this is it Ashy!!!!! Here are my before, during and after pics!!!!!!! I honestly can't believe the difference and neither can all my friends and family! They're all asking my "secret" and are all wanting to know where they can sign up!!!! I was exactly one of those people who claimed Id "tried everything" and that the less I ate the skinnier I would be. I mucked around with every silly fad diet and lost a few kgs here and there but always seemed to put it back on. Through the challenge I've learnt to stop caring about my weight and have found myself getting excited to see the muscle and water percentages go up, my body fat and visceral fat percentage go down, along with my metabolic age down to TWELVE!!!! I now care more about my health and along with shaking off all my body hang ups I'm the happiest, strongest and healthiest I have ever been in my life. I dont even feel like I've had a baby! Thank you so much for always being so sunny and lovely and for being such a support and a presence during the challenge. Even though we only train twice a week with you, you've made yourself so available to us all that it's felt like you've been there the whole time. Thank you so much for changing my life and for showing us all how it's done!!!! CANT WAIT to get back into it 2012!!!!!!!
I really don't think anyone understands until your in this group how much of a difference ashy, millie and steve can make on you! Until looking at a photo of myself last night I was really shocked at how much weight I had put on and how unhealthy I was starting to look before starting the challenge. I asked my bf last night why the hell did you let me wear those shorts like that lol. I couldn’t see myself I had put on weight and it wasn’t until last night and taking these photos in the same outfit to compare the difference 4 weeks into the challenge (I started late) that I can see the difference. Thank you so much to the three trainers and to the other girls in the group that keep me motivated. I can’t wait to see the results at the end of the challenge :) xxxx
Although I considered myself healthy and tried to stay fairly fit before I started the 12 week challenge, I had allowed myself to reach the heaviest I had ever been due to an office job, excess eating and lack of regular exercise ( due to the cold winter months). Before that time, I had always been quite proud of my body but I had gotten to the point where I only wanted to wear leggings/ jeans and loose tops. Cellulite and a muffin top had crept up on me and I hated it!! During the challenge, I learnt clever tips with food that made a huge difference and weren't that different to what I was already used to eating. My fitness improved DRAMATICALLY, I started achieving things that I didn't think would be even possible for me. My skin has cleared up and I haven't been sick since I started doing the challenge (6 months ago!), and I have been around a lot of sick people. I have more energy, don't get tired in the arvo's or get a fuzzy head that stops me from concentrating anymore. The support throughout the challenge is amazing; you make so many new friends. One of the best things is having a hobby that you look forward to doing each day and helps you create your own identity and focus on something that you love doing while learning to love yourself! There's nothing more attractive than someone who looks after themselves and is happy, and all these girls are so proud of what they have accomplished, including me :) I recommend it to everyone! I've even started working for the challenge now, it's completely changed my life :) Thank you! xxxx
I was a "regular" member of the gym and saw a personal trainer twice a week for almost 6 months, i saw small changes in my body but not what I see today, I have always lacked confidence in my body as I find it hard to see past my flaws, I came across ABBBC and joined immediately after seeing all the videos and before and after pics! I started my clean eating plan right as soon as I got it and dumped my PT as he never gave me any nutrional advice (hence no major improvements) In the first 4 weeks leading up to the challenge to start I lost 5kgs, I do the challenge 5x per week and love every second of it, I did the death by cardio challenge a couple of weeks ago and remeber thinking half way though it 'I couldnt run up this hill at the start of the challenge, I just ran up here 5 times in a row' it was a real eye opener to see how fit and strong I have become. Im now training for the 10km marathon in June, its daunting however its something I never considered as I could barely run 100m before! although my photos cant show you how healthy my insides are, I want everyone to know that anything is possible and I am so thankful for the trainers, the forum and the ongoing support of my lifestyle change from my family and friends!
Before Ashy Bines 12 week bikini body challenge, I was a smoker for 7 years and also had asthma, I couldnt even run 100 metres without stopping, now I havent had a ciggarette in 10 weeks and can feel my fitness getting better and better. I love going to sessions and being with all the amazing girls and trainers that I have met through it. I have always been such a negative person and thought that was just me, but since starting the challenge and all the inspiring things the trainers help you with has really turned my attitude around and I feel better and more positive than I ever have before. I am going to keep doing the challenge as long as I can, I can't imagine what I would do without it now! xxx
